Ahead of the Summit, the Global Network Initiative and the Centre for Communication Governance at National Law University Delhi will convene this in-person Dialogue as part of a joint initiative to strengthen inclusive, informed, and multistakeholder engagement in AI governance. The Dialogue is convened as part of our new project on advancing Multistakeholder Approaches to Participation in AI Governance (MAP-AI) <https://globalnetworkinitiati
The Dialogue will consist of two invitation-only convenings, designed to support shared learning and forward-looking policy dialogue ahead of the Summit:
16 February 2026: Shared Learning Forum on AI
This forum will bring together researchers, academics, civil society, think tanks, and members of the technical community for collective learning and knowledge exchange. The Forum will create space to surface emerging research, share regional and lived perspectives, and deepen common understanding of key AI governance challenges.
17 February 2026: Multistakeholder Convening on AI Governance
This convening will bring together representatives from governments, companies, civil society, academia, think tanks, and the technical community for structured dialogue on AI governance issues relevant to the Summit. Discussions will focus on policy-relevant insights, governance approaches, and practical considerations for responsible AI development and deployment.
Across both days, discussions will be informed by priority themes emerging from the Summit agenda and from consultations led by GNI and CCG. The sessions will provide space for in-depth exchange on the opportunities, risks, safeguards, and governance considerations associated with AI technologies, with an emphasis on Global South leadership and participation.
