INSEIT's liaison and collaboration with the EU project SIENNA on Technology, Ethics and Human Rights
News | 02-02-2021 20:27INSEIT announces its liaison and collaboration with the EU project SIENNA on Technology, Ethics and Human Rights. SIENNA (Stakeholder-Informed Ethics for new technologies with high socio-economic and human rights impact) has developed ethical frameworks, recommendations for better regulation and operational tools for the ethical management of human genomics, human enhancement and AI & robotics.
Human genomics, human enhancement, artificial intelligence and robotics offer benefits for both individuals and society. But these technologies also challenge our notions of what is ethical. SIENNA will provide frameworks to help develop research ethics protocols, professional ethical codes and better legal frameworks.
SIENNA is coordinated by the University of Twente.
The INSEIT liaison is run by the SIENNA partner for Greece, the Ionian University.
SIENNA has received funding under the European Union’s H2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 741716.
