Wong Pak-Hang

Assistant Professor in the Academy of Chinese, History, Philosophy and Religion
Pak-Hang Wong is an Assistant Professor in the Academy of Chinese, History, Philosophy and Religion at Hong Kong Baptist University, where his research focuses on the social, ethical, and political implications of emerging digital technologies. He earned his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Twente in 2012 and has held research positions in the UK, Hong Kong, and Germany. Between 2020 and 2023, he worked as an AI and Data Ethics practitioner within the industry before recently returning to academia to continue my research and teaching. His research explores issues related to algorithmic harm and epistemic rights in the context of AI ethics and governance and also, intercultural ethics of technology.
