Ioanna Afroditi Mazi is a scholar pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Audio & Visual Arts at Ionian University, where she has been a candidate since March 2024. She holds a Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Arts in the Digital Era from the same department, which she completed in December 2023. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Archaeology from the University of Ioannina, completed in March 2019. She participated in the 3rd International Conference on Digital Culture & AudioVisual Challenges (DCAC) in 2021 by presenting a paper on the "Design and Development of a Guerilla-Based Museum Gamified Experience" at the 3rd International Conference on Digital Culture & AudioVisual Challenges (DCAC) in 2021. Additionally, she contributed to a collaborative presentation on "Intelligent Destination Management (INDIANA Project)" at the ICOT2024 Conference. Her professional experience includes an internship at the National Gallery and Museum of Alexandros Soutzos, Corfu Annex, where she contributed to the digitization of art-related content for Wikipedia. She also volunteered at the E. Averoff Gallery, where she drafted explanatory texts for exhibits and participated in educational programs. Ioanna expanded her academic experience through the Erasmus+ program at Alma Mater Studiorum – Universita di Bologna, Italy, in 2017-2018. Ioanna's background reflects her strong commitment to the intersection of history, art, and digital media, focusing on enhancing cultural experiences through innovative technologies.
