Dr. Jason Branford is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Ethics in Information Technologies at the University of Hamburg. He works at the intersection between social and moral philosophy and the ethics of emerging information technologies. He is primarily interested in the possibility of social and moral progress and how moral technologies, which alter the social landscape in which we are embedded, might bolster or hinder the exercise of our moral capacities. His primary influences are Deweyan pragmatism and social psychology, relational egalitarianism, and feminist philosophy.
